Happy Halloween!

Chelsie got us all together the other night to carve pumpkins. Good thing she did because we are lame and were not going to do any this year. We had a good time!

Okay, so we didn't actually carve our own pumpkins but we helped. Eric helped Kaden get his done. Here is Kaden cheesin' it for the camera.

Eric diggin in. I HATE gutting the pumpkins. I know, I know. I need to get over it but I am not a fan of the slimeyness (Pretty sure it is not a word but this is how I would spell it if it were).

I was a party pooper at first but gave in and helped Chelsie with one of hers. Don't worry that I almost ruined it. Good thing she is a nice person and didn't care. :) Do you like the daggers??? We didn't have pins so we had to improvise.

The gang all finished up! From left to right......Chelsie's, Randi's (Hearts, it was way cute!), Kaden & Eric's skeleton, Kambree & Suzy's, and last but not least, Chelsie's, mine and Eric's. It was a joint effort! I lined out and carved the bat, she lined out the witch and Eric carved the witch. Go team!

Baby Stellan

Still no pics. My camera should be back from the "doctor" today and I have not got the cord for my parents "loaner" yet. But I have something WAY better to post about today. Maybe you have noticed the button I put on my sidebar the other day. Praying for Baby Stellan. Oh my gosh what an AMAZING story!! I want all of you to go check it out.

When she (Mckmamma) was I believe 19 weeks along, she found out that her son had a serious heart defect and was told he would not survive past 23 weeks and would be still born. He survived past that and they were then told that he would not survive birth. They never gave up and to make a long (but awesome) story short, yesterday Stellan was born and he is absolutely PERFECT!!! They can find nothing wrong with him. His heart is 100% healthy and normal and they will be going home soon. She is an amazing lady, he is an amazing baby and they are an amazing family. Please go check them out. Home Again!

We made it!! I don't have the cord for the camera today so I will post pics either tonight or tomorrow. We had a great time but it is so nice to be home! Eric kept calling asking "Where are you?!" He thought I should be driving Mach 5 or something I guess. It was so good to see him. And Kai too. She did her normal freak out (only a little more extreme). It was nice to be home and sleep in my bed. I have lots of pics though so get ready....

Portland or Bust!

I am leaving in about 2 hours for Vancouver and Portland. We will drive to Boise tonight and stay at my aunt's house and then get up bright and early and go to Vancouver on Thursday. I do love road trips and I hear this one is pretty beautiful. Yipee! If I am lucky, Eric will get home from work before I leave so I can give him a goodbye squeeze and smooch. (And most likely a tear or 50:) We went to the store and made sure he had the staples for while I am gone. You know, milk, cereal, fruit snacks, cup 'o noodles, the important stuff :). We already have mac & cheese so he is squared away there! And don't you worry, I will post about my adventures when I return! (Because I KNOW you were all so worried) Have a marvelous rest of the week and weekend!

Bittersweet---Sort of.....

That is the best I could come up with for the title. Sometimes it is just SO hard for me :( I guess it sort of fits. I am leaving for Portland on Wednesday (this is the sweet part) but my hubby is not going. (this is the bitter part) I HATE being away from him for more than a day and especially over night! I will leave Wednesday and not get back until Sunday night. I will see him Wednesday morning but I will probably leave before he gets home from work. Now I know that I will have tons of fun on my trip with my mom and sister but I will be oh so sad to not see Eric every day and to snuggle with him at night. Have I made you want to puke yet?! ha ha. :) It makes it even worse that he was gone this Friday thru Sunday for the deer hunt. So over a period of about 10 days we will only see eachother for about 2 days! Tragic isn't it?!

So I am going to make the best of today and tomorrow. Tonight we are going to a corn maze, just me and him. Lucky for me, it is only haunted on the weekends so we will be safe! A guy that I work with owns it so we get in for free!! Even better! Then we will go home and drink hot cocoa (doesn't that sound better than hot chocolate? I think so!) and watch our Monday night TV shows on DVR, my most favorite thing! Anyone have any ideas on what to do tomorrow??

I know that he is a big boy and can take care of himself but I keep thinking, what is he going to eat while I am gone?!!! I think tonight and tomorrow I will make things that make yummy leftovers so that he will have a few meals taken care of. I am lame, yes I know, you don't have to tell me. But my lameness makes me a great wifey! At least I think so. You will have to ask Eric what he thinks. I am pretty sure I know his answer though. he he.

Weekend at Brookies!!

So we had a very fun filled weekend. Just to warn you this is going to be long with lots of pics!

We were lucky to have our niece and nephew stay with us Friday night. This is Kambree at dinner. Sorry for the bad restaurant lighting. She is hilarious. I just love her to pieces!

This weekend was partly for Kaden's 8th birthday. So we asked him what he wanted to do and since Eric was a party pooper on the corn maze, the next best thing is getting a new xbox game to play!

Yeah, I totally know this is blurry. The kid is INSANE when he is watching someone play. He just jumps up and down and waves his arms. He cannot even control it. It is pretty funny. All the while he is telling Eric how to play and here is am exact quote " Come on! You can play Call of Duty 4 but you can't even play Spiderman?!"

It is pretty intense when it is his turn to play. If that ottoman would not have been in his way he would have been right up under the tv.

Kambree LOVES to color and I luckily had some books and crayons. She was so cute. She would pick my color for me and then point where she wanted me to color. Every couple of minutes it would be time to switch. We had a great time!

She is like the energizer bunny. I don't even know how many laps she made.

I don't know why, but I was nervous on how I was going to get her to bed. I went in and got ready for bed and when I came back out this is what found. Obviously all that running did her in.

This is the nifty bed I made her in our room. I laid her down all nice and normal like and she rearranged herslf to this. She pretty much stayed this way all night. She slept from 11 to almost 9!! I was impressed. (And grateful!)

I love these kids. We will or sure have to do it again!


Then on Saturday night Jevan and Michelle and Brady and Jenna came over. Man we ate a lot of junk! Lets see, cookies, ice cream, peaches, popcorn, starbursts and of course caramel apples! Apparently Jevan and Brady forgot to inform the rest of us that we were supposed to make goofy faces........


Attractive isn't it?! We got about half way through our apples and realized that if we cut it off it would save our teeth a lot of heartache. They were oh so yummy! Thanks for providing the $8 apples Brady and Jenna! :)

We had a great time and just hanging out and playing games until 2 am! For anyone that knows me very well, that is basically pulling an all nighter. ha ha Not really but close. We had a blast and are lucky to have such great friends!

What a great weekend we had here at Brookies. I pretty much didn't leave the house but I had no desire to since it basically snowed the whole time. Brrr!

Go Mustangs!

My little brother's football team has been undefeated this year. It has been so much fun to watch! Today was the first game in the playoffs and they played Ogden. I think you can tell from the score board how it went. Way to go Dylan!
