Deegan was 22 months on the 13th!
If he gets sad or mad (like if he gets in trouble) he will usually ask for “night night” or grandma.
He has a very soft heart just like his mommy.
Loves Elmo
Has recently started to have more of an attention span and more interest in watching TV and movies. He loves The Price is Right!
He has started say “my” in front of most things.
He usually calls our dog Moose, “Moosey” but has started saying “Mitsy Bissy”. Not sure why but it sounds pretty dang cute.
Spent his first weekend in our new 5th Wheel and he did great! He loved it. He did so well traveling to Casper and back as well. Hardly slept and stayed happy for the most part.
He says “Hi” to everyone he passes. They of course usually smile and say it back to him.
He is in a phase where he wants to be held and rocked to sleep every night. I am loving this. He usually just wants to get right into his bed so it has been nice to get some good snuggle time in.
The other night I was starting to tell him there was a baby in mommy’s tummy and that a baby was coming to live at Deegan’s house. I am pretty sure he didn’t understand because he pointed to himself and said “baby”. We will keep working on that one. J But Deegan, you will ALWAYS be my baby.
If you ask him where Deegan is or point to him and say “Who is this?” he will point to himself and say “Me!”
He loves his uncle Dylan and talks about “Duey” pretty much every day.
Size 4 shoes (almost to size 5). Size 4 diapers, 12 month pants, 12-18 month tops.
STILL taking 2 naps a day. Deegan, please keep this up until a few months after your sibling is born. Thanks!
And he sleeps great at night. Usually goes to bed between 8:30-9 and sleeps until 7-7:30.
Is not a fan of getting his haircut! Make me nervous for his first dentist appt.
Pretty much lives on waffles, chicken nuggets, hot dogs, juice, fruit snacks, cheese, gold fish and gerber meal cups. He also loves lasagna or any pasta with marinara sauce.
He eats best in the bath tub!
He loves blankets! Doesn’t really have an attachment to just one. He calls them “night nights” and is a little snuggle bug! He snuggles his face in and says “aw or oh”
He has to do up his own buckles in his car seat. He can do the chest clip all on his own but on the crotch one, he can get them lined up and in the hole but needs a little help pushing them in.
Still gives the best OPEN mouth kisses ever. J
The other day at my grandmas house my mom was telling him it was time to go to Deegan’s house and get in the tub. He took off and headed to my grandparents half bath, walked in and looked around, then came back out and said, “where da show?” (shower) I cracked up.
Still not a fan of nursery. Not even a little. We have pretty well decided it is a lost cause. He isn’t going to have much consistency as far as which ward he will go to over the next few months so we aren’t going to push it. Whether that is the best choice or not, its one we have made. It just isn’t worth it to us and we don’t want him totally hate church. We will try again at the beginning of the year or maybe he will just go straight to sunbeams! Ha ha
Only 2 more weeks until I get to stay at home with him full time!!!!!!!!
