A baby with a 6 pack?

So Deegan has been trying for a while to sit up from laying down flat on his back. He is not successful. Until now! Eric figured out that by holding his feet for him, he can do this.....

I don't really know, but I would say this is super impressive! This kid has some strong abs! He is so much fun! Anyone else seen a baby do this? I am sure he is not the first or anything but we sure think it is pretty neat!

Just for Eric

As most of you probably know, Eric loves dirt bikes. And his last couple have been KTM's. So when I found this onesis before Deegan was born, I had to buy it! And now it finally fits him.

I also just want to take a bit of time to brag about Deegan's dad. Back in the middle of April, Eric was unofficially laid off from Wasatch Electric. We were pretty sure it was coming but still sad. They told him it might just be for a couple weeks. Well 2 months went by and still nothing. During those 2 months, Eric worked his butt off finding work and doing side jobs etc.

He has probably been busier than when he was working. Between helping friends for extra money, finding side construction jobs and putting our yard in, he has been so busy. I know this is because he is such a hard worker and also mainly from answered prayers.

A couple weeks back he was able to pick up a couple shifts with Wasatch. This was great. And now this week, he has been working again but we don't know for how long. He has been working the 1-11 shift in West Valley which means he leaves home about 10:30 am and gets back about 1 am. LONG day. Yesterday he left for work at 10:30 like usual and one of the times I talked to him he said they had the opportunity to work late so he was going to. This meant overtime and double time so you really can't turn it down. I went to bed and he called me about 1 am and said they were still working and he would let me know. I woke up at 4:30 and had not heard from him and I got a little nervous. I called him but no answer. My crazy brain likes to play tricks on me and think of the worst possible scenarios. Anyways, he called me about 5 and was fine of course, but still working. I woke up with Deegan at a little after 7 and still no Eric. He got home about 8:30 am! By the time he showered and got to bed it was 9:30. That is a 22 hour day!

He slept almost 3 hours and by 1 pm today he was heading to a job he is working on in Logan. And he is still there. It is almost 10 pm. Eric has been up for about 36 hours and has slept for a total of maybe 4 of those. He seriously amazes me! He works so hard for this family and I know there is nothing he wouldn't do for us! We are so blessed and lucky to have him as a dad and husband. He never gives up. He never feels sorry for himself. He does what he needs to do and is happy to do it. I am pretty sure I would have collapsed by now. Oh yeah, and he is on call tonight. I am really hoping he doesn't get called out. I already told him if he does, I will drive him, me and Deegan will stay in a hotel while he works and then he can come back there to sleep and I will drive him home after.

Sorry for the massive explanation. :) I just want to remember, always, how amazing my husband is. He loves us so much and although it sucks that we really have not seen him since Tuesday, he is doing what he can, while there is work. I love him so much and am so happy for the example that he will be to Deegan as he gets older. We love you so much Eric!!

He takes after his mom!

Last weekend we went with Eric's family to dinner. It was nice to get together and Deegan had a great time!

For those that know me very well, you know that I LOVE lemons. And lemon water. But I eat all the inside of the lemon. And it looks like Deegan is following in my footsteps. This was a full piece of lemon, juice and all! And he didn't even pull a face.

The kid has good taste, what can I say. He also loves pickles and pineapple. Go figure.

Getting tickled by grandpa!

Deegan and Aunt Chels. He is practicing his Elvis impersonation look.

And Uncle Steven!
Don't mind the drool all over his shirt. Those lemons make you salivate!

Thanks for going with us guys!

4th of July! Better late than never....

We had a pretty great fourth of July at our house!

Here is Deegan all ready for church! I quite liked having the 4th on a Sunday. Sacrament was wonderful!!

Dylan's birthday is on the 5th so we had a celebration for him the night of the 4th at our house. We had a delicious BBQ and a delicious cake and fireworks!

I put Deegan to bed and then woke him up about an hour later because I was not about to let him miss his first 4th of July fireworks! :) He LOVED them!

This pic is my absolute fav! You have to click on it to see his face. I love it!!

As usual, happy boy!

He was pretty wide eyed the whole time. These caught his attention much more than the ones we watched the night before since there were much closer.

Hanging out with mom. Grandma must be tired or something in the background. ha ha

He thought the flame on the lighter was pretty neat! No worries, we made sure he didn't touch it. What kind of parents do you think we are?? :)

And he even went right back to sleep after the festivities were all done and over with! He is seriously the best baby ever! We had a fun day and night on our 4th of July!

Fluckiger Family Reunion

Every June the Fluckiger (my grandma is a Fluckiger) Family has a reunion in Bedford, WY. My mom goes every year and we try to make it too. I had not been in a couple years so we decided to go. It was me, Eric, Deegan, Dylan and my mom.

I really wanted to go the way that takes us through Afton since I had not been there in several years. I had no idea it would cause any problems......ha ha. Not sure what our deal was but we made 2 wrong turns. One was not a big deal at all and the other took us about 15 minutes out of our way before we figured it out. ha ha. Good times!

We ate at Dad's Bar (restaurant) in Thayne and it was pretty tasty. As usual, Deegan caught the attention of everyone there. We then drove to Star Valley Ranch to stay the night. Eric was a party pooper and crashed almost immediately after we got there but the rest of us played several rounds of some good old Go Fish. Deegan had a little bit of a rough night for some reason so I didn't sleep too well but that's okay!

Here are the siblings/spouses! My grandma and grandpa are the 2 furthest to the right on the back row. Love them!!!!!

These pics are slightly out of order but here is our happy little traveler!

Hangin out at the reunion while the grown ups ate some delicious food!

Eric showing off his mad skills.

Keeping goober entertained by allowing him to eat dad's cell phone.

"We are a happy family!" :)

Playing in the water. This little creek may be the reason we never go to this reunion once Deegan can walk. All the kids play in it and it makes me so nervous!!

Uncle Dylan and Grandma

What a nice Uncle. ha ha

We had a good time. It was pretty chilly which is why Deegan is in a hoodie the whole time but it was beautiful as always!! Next year is probably going to be at Aunt Denna's house so we might have to make the trip again for that!! I love spending time with family!!!

Here is a funny story about the trip down. We were about to Preston and me and my mom starting talking about the reunion and Eric pipes in, "Reunion? What reunion?!" ha ha. He must have missed that part of our conversation when I told him we were going. He thought we were just going for fun. And we were! Funny funny.

Startin em young!

We are finally getting our yard put in!! We decided that kids are never to young to help out so we put Deegan to work moving some dirt around!

He had a little bit of a hard time reaching the controllers, however.

"I'm outta here!"
He was not a very hardworker, and gave up pretty quickly!

So dad decided he would help him out and show him how to run things.

He sure thought it was neat! At least it made for some cute pics!

As of today, the sprinkler system is in! The yard is getting the final grade today, and hopefully curbing tomorrow and hydroseed next! Can't wait to have it all in and done so Deegan can run all around next summer!

Random, but adorable, pics. :)

Here are a few random pics from the last couple weeks......

I got Deegan a pool floatie for the outdoor pool here and for our trip to Cali. He loves it even without the water!

Like father like son. He saw these on the couch and snatched them up! Although he was more into the box than what was inside. Eric made me take it away before he could spit up in the box. ha ha.

He thinks he is too big for this seat. Often he won't just sit back and relax in it, he grabs onto the toy bar and pulls himself up. He just loves to be up! Sitting or standing. He is a busy boy!

Look at those eyes! I love them!!

Can you tell I love to take pics of him? I have promised myself I will do the same with any future kids. Hopefully I can keep that promise. ha ha. With such a cute subject, it is easy!

Belated Father's Day

Yes, I am a horrible wife and never posted on Father's Day! I was going through my camera and there are lots of pics that I had forgotten about. So get ready for some more catch up posts!

Deegan is lucky to have such a great dad that loves him so much! He wants him to grow up too fast but thats just so he can do more with him! These 2 are so cute together. Deegan lights up when he sees his dad. Eric does some pretty funny things to get him to laugh. Its quite entertaining!

Deegan wanted to show his love and support for his dad so he decided to wear this shirt that says: My dad is awesome, fun, the best! Pretty much sums it up!

Don't let this pic fool you. He is not really close at all to crawling. Fine by me! But it still looks pretty cute. He wants to crawl from sitting up and that usually results in a belly flop/face plant. He is not a fan of his tummy but we try it anyways. He would way rather be standing. Maybe he will skip crawling and go right to walking. Ah!

And Deegan with Grandpa Tribett. We didn't get to see Grandpa Sanders on Father's Day and then I forgot to get a pic with him! Deegan has some pretty awesome grandpas that love him so so much! He just one extremely loved little guy all around!

Happy LATE Father's Day to the men/father's in our live! We love and appreciate all you do!
