I love my little runt!

Deegan went for his 4 month check up on Friday. He is lookin good! Here are his stats:

Head-15.75 inches-8%
Weight-12 lbs. 12 oz.-15%
Height-23 inches-less than 5% :)

As you can see he is still a little guy but he is growing!! And "technically" he is still just 3 months. We asked our ped. how long it would be until he was a little more caught up and he said usually they are caught up by a year. We don't care though, just as long as he is healthy and happy and growing. Which he is!

Developmentally he is really pretty much on track for being 4 months old. Since the one time he rolled over a while ago (I think it was because I was sitting by him on the couch and so it made him slant a little) he has not rolled over again. We will just give him more tummy time, which he loves! ha ha. Not really. He will push himself up though and holds his head great and can sit by himself for a few seconds before toppling over. He LOVES his hands and is working on getting the hang of grabbing things. He will reach and touch things but still needs work on grabbing them.

He is a great talker and often wakes us up in the mornings with his sweet cooing and talking. What a perfect way to wake up! He LOVES to smile and his whole face lights up when he does. And so do ours! He is a great kicker and loves to stand up! He has really strong little legs. I am hoping to try rice cereal with him tonight and am excited about that! It should be fun. He is sleeping lots better and often sleeps 7-10 hours straight.

Here are a few random pics from the last week or so.

His hair looks a little reddish in this pic. I swear he has moody hair! Sometimes it is all brown and sometimes it is a little auburn. We are hoping for more brown then red but we will love him no matter what. ha ha

I thought his little legs were so cute all crossed while he was sleeping. I love these little jammies. And they are so so soft and comfy!

Deegan and Great Grandma Norman

He sleeps with his hands in the funniest positions. Doesn't seem relaxed! And look, the other hand is giving mom the "I Love You" sign. What a genius!

This was today after David's homecoming. He fell right to sleep in David's arms. David did a great job with his talk!! He got to catch up with some of his buddies so that was fun as well. We had delicious homemade cinnamon rolls! Yum!!

Deegan is such a joy to have! He is a great baby and really only cries when he is hungry or overly tired. He makes our home such a happy place! We are loving watching him grow and change. He is so loved by all his family. We love you Deegan!

Elder Tribett is Home!!!!!

Well the day FINALLY came. David is home from Florida!! What a fun day! I took just a few pics to share. :)

I found Deegan a green (for St. Pattys day) Alligator (for Florida!:) outfit. It kinda looks like a frog but it has a cute tail on back.

Yes, Eric cut his hair into a mohawk. Blah. ha ha. He has been saying he was going to do it for a while now. Hopefully he doesn't keep it long. Oh yeah, and he got his license renewed this day so now his license has a mohawk on it. Lovely.

Our cute "green" family.

Just waiting.......

Here he comes!!!!!! His plane came in early and we ended up being there just in the nick of time! We didn't even have time to get ourselves lined up with the signs. We saw that his plane had arrived and the next thing we knew, here he came!!

So much fun! He dropped his suitcase and we all ran to eachother. It was so so so sweet!!! I wondered if I would cry, yup!! ha ha. He grabbed Deegan as soon as the group hug was done. So here is Deegan meeting his Uncle David for the first time!! David loved him but is not a fan of how much the kid spits up. ha ha

Such a happy family reunion!

Doesn't he look amazing??!!! We think so!!! He looks so different but great!

Holding the signs that we didn't get in order quite in time. ha ha

We ate at Five Guys after. Pretty yummy! Deegan spit up on Davids hand and tie and he seriously almost got dropped until David realized what his reflex had done and made a good save. It was pretty hilarious.

Welcome Home David! Wahoo!! :)

Seeing his Missy girl for the first time in 2 years. :)

I had to come back to work today but everyone else is partying. ha ha. Including Deegan! :) It is so so nice to have him home!! We love you David!

Bath time fun

Bath time with Deegan is so much fun. He loves it! He splashes like crazy. I finally got a good video of it so here it is for your enjoyment!

He is a crazy kid and we love it! I am going to look in to infant swimming lessons for him. I think that will be lots of fun and great for him. If anyone in my area has done this and has any recommendations, let me know!

Teething?!

It looks like my little goober might be getting his first tooth. What makes me think this you ask?

He can't keep his hands out of his mouth! That and he is drooling like crazy and we can see a little white dot on the lower left side of his mouth. It sure feels like a tooth! It hasn't changed much in the last couple days though so I don't really know. I thought it was weird how far over it is but our dentist said all babies are different. I just hope he doesn't get his moms messed up teeth! haha

I will keep you posted on whether the pearly white emerges or if it is just teasing us. :)

Fresh Air!

I finally let Deegan go outside longer than just going from the car to the store or the car to someones house. :) I think he quite enjoyed the fresh air! But we still bundled him up! Yes, perhaps I am a LITTLE crazy.......

He was so snuggly when we came inside that he went right to sleep! What a cute little teddy bear! I think he felt like the kid off of A Christmas Story. ha ha

Deegan's New Toy

We decided it was time to get Deegan a big boy toy. He still likes his swing but only if he is sleepy and already half asleep. He is not a total fan of the bumbo yet. So we thought we would get him something that he could be upright in and entertained. After some research and opinion taking, I decided on this................

His short little legs to reach the ground yet so I stuck a pillow under him so he was not just hanging in it. ha ha.

Don't mind the drool and spit up all over his shirt, the kid is insane!

I think he likes it! He didn't last really long in it the first time but if I was there with him acting like a crazy person he did better. Ha! It is nice to have a place to put him where he doesn't have to lay down and he can be entertained for a bit. I can't wait until he can fully utilize the jumping!!

Cute Cousins!

Deegan is so lucky to have 2 cousins that love him so much! It makes my heart so happy that these kids love each other! :)

It is so cute how happy they are to see him and to hear them talk about him. Kambree loves to feed him and she loves his soft hair. :) It surprises me how much Kaden loves him. I don't know why, I guess because he is a nine year old boy. But I am so so happy that Deegan has these 2 for cousins!

I can't wait until Deegan is old enough to show his cousins how much he loves them too! What a bunch of cute kids! We sure are lucky! We love you Kaden and Kambree!!

Super Baby!

Obviously this is my first baby so I don't really know if he is like other babies or not. ha ha. But Deegan seems so strong! He loves to stand and if he were more stable, he could totally do it on his own. He goes stiff as a board all of the time, which can be frustrating! I can see the temper tantrums now......ha ha. Anyways, here are some pics of him "stiff as a board" as I hold him up in the air.

He sure is a funny guy!
