4th of July Weekend

My work had a party the night of the fireworks and bbq'd for employees and their families and then we all watched the fireworks from the parking lot. It was perfect and I hope they do it every year!

My goober and me.

Silly boy.

The following 3 pictures are results of what happens when I don't take the face detection/red eye feature off.

ha ha. No, my child is not drugged! :) I had to take my camera to Inkley's when I first got it because I couldn't figure it out and all of my pics were turning out like this. It was no good.

After the bbq some more of my family came to join us!

Kevin and Tayson.

Deegan and his crazy dad.

Coco and Tay.

Here's gamama trying to entice Deegan to watch the fireworks. He would watch them off and on but he was too busy being Deegan to sit and watch them the whole time.

He sat in his little chair for maybe 2 minutes total.

We were so thankful to my work for putting it on. We had a great time!

The next day we decided to brave the heat and headed down to the Cruise In.

Showing off another Americana outfit. I have a slight obsession with Americana themed clothing for Deegan and he usually has several outfits to last him the weekend of the 4th.

He was trying to convince us that this Mountain Dew would really help to cool him off. But we didn't give in and he had to settle for lemonade instead.

The kid loves being tossed in the air and Eric and David usually take full advantage of it. Uncle David gets a little out of hand and even throws in some 360's. Scares this mama just a tad!

We didn't stay too long thanks to the blazing heat but I am still glad we went. After this we headed to Eric's cousins wedding which was also outdoors so we got our fill of heat for the day! It was a beautiful reception and we were so happy for them!

Sunday we headed to Bear Lake with Eric's fam but that deserves its own post!

Best Sunday Ever!

Since Eric was only home on Sunday, we made the best of it!

First stop was 1st Dam!

The ducks weren't too into us and Deegan was much more interested in figuring out how he could get into the water.

And he certainly wasn't too interested in getting his picture taken with his mama.

I kinda, sorta LOVE this pic. Such cute boys I have.

Then we were off to Willow Park Zoo. Deegan didn't necessarily love it but it interested him and he liked walking around.

But then he got tired of walking so he turned to his daddy for help.

That's better.

These raccoons were all reaching out like this and digging along the cement. You can see where they have dug all the dirt away from the edge. Definitely shows what pesky little varmints they are. But I still found them cute. ha ha

I wish I would have got a picture of the peacock that was there. We were walking along and the peacock was right in front of us and suddenly flew to the rooftop. This TOTALLY caught Deegan off guard and it was hilarious! I think he mimicked the sound of the peacock for days after this. It was awesome.

And when he wasn't riding on daddy's shoulders, he was off wandering way ahead of us. So independent.

We didn't go to church, we didn't visit family, we just hung out. The three of us. It was wonderful.

Weekend Without Daddy

About a month ago (yes I am THAT far behind!) Eric had to work on Friday and Saturday. That hasn't happened in a long time and we were not excited about it! But I got off early on Friday so I decided me and Deegan were heading to the pool!

I didn't get any pics of him in the pool because lets be honest, that's nearly impossible when you are the only adult. So here are some pics of him keeping himself hydrated!

And just before we left:

Oh my heck! Could I love that face anymore?! I think not!

We had a fun time at the pool together. Didn't stay too long but it was just right!

Then on Saturday it was the annual Millville City parade and we are lucky enough to live right on the parade route!

Eating breakfast while we watch, yes we are multitaskers!

Checking out his loot! Not that he can eat much of it but he still had fun! He also got new toothbrushes, popsicles and even a root beer float from the parade! Gotta love Millville!

Luckily Eric got to come home Saturday night and we made sure to make the most of our day together on Sunday.

Deegan's big news!

For those that haven't already heard, Deegan is going to be a big brother!! I don't know about him, but his parents are super excited! :) Our due date is February 23rd so I am 9 weeks and 6 days today. We announced it yesterday to our family and friends and the world of facebook. We couldn't be happier! We had our first ultrasound yesterday and all looks great. This baby didn't seem to be kicking and moving near as much as Deegan was at his first ultrasound so maybe he/she will be a little more laid back. ha ha. Yay for babies!!!

I have SO much updating to do so hopefully I can get caught up on that over the next few days. So check back!

Deegan's Shinanigans

Let me just tell you, this kid is hilarious, entertaining, full of energy and very busy! These pics are all from the same day and just show some of his favorite things to do.

He loves to get into the fridge and move the condiments from the shelf, into the crisper drawer.

See?

He also likes to move them back to where they belong.

He thinks it is such a fun little game. So if you come over and can't find the ketchup, check the drawer! :)

Deegan's aunt Randi gave him this cool toy and he loves it! I think it is his current favorite. He thinks he is pretty tricky when he stands up on it.

My happy little poop!

It keeps him pretty entertained. He loves to drive it, turn the key on and off and of course push all the buttons. When he gets bigger (or longer legs :) we will turn the sides around and he can push himself all over the house on it.

He is pretty good at entertaining himself and loves to play with his toys and read his books. I could sit and watch him play all day!

Father's Day

Well, we are a month late but here are our pics from our laid back Father's Day!

Deegan and his daddy. Deegan was sporting his "My Dad Rocks" shirt. Cuz he does! :)

Deegan and his Aunt Chelsie.

Papa Sanders

Enjoying a little snack.

I was mad that I totally forgot to take any pics at my parents house but oh well! We had a delicious dinner of ribs and fried rice. Courtesy of Kevin. He was kind enough to cook for all of us on his first father's day!

And now onto Eric's father's day present! ha ha. Not really but we did get it about that time.
Now a quick catch up, we found a different trailer just a few days before this one. It was older and not as well taken care of. When we saw this one, we both knew we had to buy it! So, luckily we sold the first one and Eric has been enjoying it!

Its a smaller 5th wheel that Eric's 1/2 ton can easily pull. He has loved having it while he is staying in wyoming. He has a comfy place all of his own that he can go back to, cook dinner, shower, relax and even watch movies! It makes it a little easier for me when I know he has a safe place that makes him happy. But we both agree, that this is getting really old! Hopefully we can be a "normal" family that is home together every night at some point in the future. I don't know how long we will keep the trailer but I hope we can go camping once or twice while we have it. So there it is! Our Father's Day! We sure love our dad's, grandpa's, husband!
