Christmas Eve Celebrations!

We had a great Christmas Eve this year! We started off by going out to Paradise to Eric's parents.

Deegan got a little thirsty........

We had the traditional slushies and they sure were delicious!

Deegan quite liked it too!

Then it was off to my parent's for my mom's birthday and more Christmas Eve fun!

We learned that Deegan likes shrimp!
We had lots of yummy food! Authentic fried rice, egg rolls, prime rib, shrimp, salad, cheesy mashed potatoes, pretzel jello salad, cheesecake, yum!

Deegan with Uncle David's girlfriend Nicole! Some of Nicole's family joined us too!

Showing his cute Christmas Eve sweater! Well I thought it was cute, others thought it was dorky. ha ha.

I got Deegan his new Christmas Eve jammies and Grandma Tribett got him something even better!

A new, huge, snuggly blanket for his crib! My mom made it for him and the fabric is so cute!

I think he likes it!

It was so cute, he kept burying his face in it and snuggling it.

And of course, he played peek a boo! Isn't the print so fun?!

Then it was off to bed. He is such a crazy sleeper!

And while visions of sugar plums danced in his head, Santa came!

And he sure left Deegan some fun stuff!

What a lucky boy! Pictures from Christmas day to come! But we sure had a fun time on Christmas Eve!

Catch up before Christmas!

We have been busy busy at our house getting ready for Christmas! Here are a ton of pictures to prove it!

Santa's elve came to our house last night to help assemble Deegan's toys! I was very grateful!

Deegan showing you his orange..... :)

Ugly Sweater Party! We were sad Eric couldn't make it but we had a good time!

Deegan 1 sharing a cracker with Deegan 2! Yup, 2 Deegan's in the same room! How cute.

I thought he looked pretty cute in his "ugly" sweater!

We made gingerbread houses last week.....

Here is mine and Eric's.

Any guesses on what this is? Eric designed it. I will give you a hint, it is on the East side of the house. :)

I thought the roof design turned out good!

Deegan being his happy self!

And the finished products!

We took Deegan to see Santa........

He wasn't too sure what to think!

Turns out he isn't a fan. I think he will still bring him some presents though!

Daddy to the rescue!

We have had a wonderful holiday season and are so excited that Christmas is here! We hope you all have a very Merry CHRIST mas and a safe one too! And I know we all will, but remember the reason for the season! Love you all!!!

13 Months

I know I am lame for not having a picture with this post but I have been meaning to do it for a week now and since I don't have my camera with me, no picture.

I just wanted to write down some fun things Deegan is up to at 13 months!

* He can tell you what a dog says. SO CUTE!

* He can flush the toilet. :)

*He likes to get the remote and point it at the tv. ha ha. Pretty sure it is not a great thing that he knows what to do with the remote but it is cute nonetheless.

* He isn't walking yet but loves to push things around the house. He has a couple of walk behind push toys that he loves but he will also use anything else big enough to stand behind and push it to where he wants to go. Like the Christmas tree!

* He has gotten really good at clapping and waving. He has done this for a while but has it totally down now. He loves to clap his hands and throw his hands in the air when he is happy/excited!

* He says mamamamamamama. Yup, not ever just mama. I love it! At first I wasn't sure if he knew what he was saying, but it is obvious now that he does.

* He is a huge mama's boy. He still loves everyone and will go to pretty much anyone that tries, but when he wants mom, he wants mom. It makes me feel pretty special!

* He loves Kai and thinks its funny to follow her as she tries to get away from him. ha ha.

* He is full of personality and is quite the little tease. Like father like son I guess!

* He loves applesauce!

* He loves his sippy cup and has totally mastered drinking out of it. I love when there isn't much left and he totally tips his head clear back to get the rest.

* He plays peek a boo but often puts his hands on his ears instead of his eyes. Still adorable!

* He also likes to play peek a boo by ducking down and then popping back up! He loves to do this at church with whoever is sitting behind us.

*He is a bit of a distraction in sacrament meeting and it is not uncommon for people both in front of us and behind us to be entertained by him.

* My mom is convinced that he has said "bird". If you ask him where is the bird? He turns and looks at it but I haven't heard him say bird yet. So I guess his first word is either mama or bird. ha ha

* He loves to play in any drawer he can get into. He knows right where the tupperware lids are. I don't usually clean them up too often because as soon as I do, he has them thrown out again!

He takes massive (2-4 hour) naps at the babysitters but only takes 45 min-1.5 hour naps anywhere else. Weird.

* He loves to be chased and will crawl away really fast and then look back with a mischievous little grin to see if you are coming after him.

* He can clear items off any surface he can reach faster then you can stop him. Guess he doesn't like clutter? :)

* He is such a fun, bubbly, happy little guy who catches the attention of strangers where ever we go.

Well, I know that was a lot but I just want to remember all the fun little things he is doing right now. He is a blast to have around and we often find ourselves just watching him and cracking up. What fun! We love our little goober so much it is ridiculous!

Thanksgiving! And a few other randoms....

Since Christmas is only 2 weeks away, (what?!) I figured I better post about our Thanksgiving! The pics are in order from last to first since I don't wanna switch them all.

This year we ate at my Grandma and Grandpa Wolfley's house. We usually go to Eric's parents house but since my cousin Ami was coming, we made a trade. See how special you are Ami? It was lots of fun to see her. Hopefully its not 2 1/2 more years till we do it again.

After all our festivities we went over to my aunt's dad's house to visit some more. She had these fun singing snowmen from Hallmark and Deegan loved them!!

He played with them forever.

My cousin Ami showing her amazement at the size of this lamp. It really was quite amazing! I am sad that this is the only pic of Ami. Why didn't we get one together? Or at the cool toy store? Next time I guess. :)

After we had dinner we went out to Eric's parents house. We recently got new phones and so Eric and his mom were dinking around with their phones. I thought this pic was pretty funny!

Deegan and Uncle Steven.

Playing with Uncle Kevin.

Mom and Deegan!

Deegan and Grandpa Tribett showing off his cute Thanksgiving shirt. It says, "I am thankful for mommy and daddy, yummy turkey, and football", but he really didn't love the turkey. He sure made up for it with other stuff though! He loved Grandma Wolfley's homemade stuffing and jello salad! She makes some pretty delish jello salads!

Hanging out with Dad playing Call of Duty on Thanksgiving morning. Great quality time together. ha ha

These pics are from our first big snowstorm of the season. I thought they were fun! Our porch is covered so all of this is just from the gusting winds.

Some people thought the storm was not near as big of a deal as it was made out to be and compared to the news, I guess it wasn't. But I still thought it was pretty crazy and was glad I left work early and me and Deegan got home before it hit. I watched it come in from my deck and it looked pretty crazy. It didn't last as long as we thought but it still dumped a large amount of snow in the time it was here!

This has nothing to do with the rest of the post other than it is another cute pic of my goober. I think his face looks so cute. Like he is attacking the washcloth. ha ha. He sure likes to suck on them in the tub!

There you have it! Christmas is almost here and I cannot even believe it. But it is a good thing because after Christmas, I won't have any good excuses to buy Deegan stuff. ha ha. He is set for Christmas and even Easter at this point! A friend put it perfectly, he isn't spoiled, just well loved! So true!

Lots going on with us these days, I will have to catch up on that another time!
