Eric and Kam

On Sunday the family got together at Eric's parents house as a little farewell for him. He leaves Saturday morning! :( After we were finished eating, Eric wanted to take Kambree outside. She was more than willing to out and swing on the swing set. As they were getting her shoes and coat on, I got out my camera to go out with them and take some pics. Kam saw me with my camera in hand and said "Picture me?" I told her yes, I was coming outside too, to take pictures of her. Apparently she was ready NOW because when I finished my sentence, this is what she did.....

What a girl! We sure love her.

She kept saying "Swing high!" So Eric obliged.

If you can click on this and make it bigger, I reccomend doing it. Her face is hilarious!

It was a pretty cold day so I didn't stay out too long. When these 2 finally came in they were both freezing. Eric kept asking her if she was done or if she was ready to come in and she would answer very simply "No." I am not sure how he finally talked her into coming in.

So as I said earlier, Eric will be heading to Boise Saturday morning. I think it is good he is leaving on a Saturday so then I have the weekend to get somewhat used to it and get my emotions under control. ha ha Hopefully! I am a baby. I cry pretty easily. I know he is not gone for THAT long and I will talk to him everyday, several times, but it is just not the same. In the over 7 years we have known eachother, the longest we have ever been apart is 1 week. I think this "first" time will be the hardest because he will not be home for 3 weeks!! Hopefully after that he can come home every other weekend. I know others have had hubbies gone longer so I will be grateful and try not to whine too much but this is the first time I have ever done anything like this. I know it will be just fine and in the end it will be SO worth it! Wish me luck! I have lots of great friends and family that are already to help me if I need anything. And Jen, you call me anytime! Seriously! :)

Can you say embarrassing???!!!

So yesterday I went to the mall. I decided before I went shopping, I would stop and use the restroom. The main women's restroom was closed for cleaning but there is another one just past it that is for anyone but is more handicap accessible. Anywho, I go in and there is one girl washing her hands and the another standing by the stall door. I get in line behind her and she says, "Oh you can go ahead." I said, "Oh there is no one in there?" Her answer, "No." So I go over push open the door and what do I see??????? A poor terrified girl (She was probably about my age) minding her own business, doing her business, sitting on the toilet!!!!! Are you kidding me?!!!! I turn to the girl that gave me the false information and said "Yeah there is!!" while I am trying to shut the door while turned backwards, for the person who I have just mortified!

I of course left ASAP and went to Pac Sun where my sis was working and busted out laughing with tears streaming down my face. The worst part is I heard the two girls come out behind me and they too were laughing there dumb butts off! I gotta admit, it was pretty hilarious. I don't really think it was my fault. It was either the girl that told me there was no one in there or else the gril that DID NOT lock the door before she went in!

Either way. Pretty funny AND embarrassing! But at least it gave my sis and I a good laugh. And hopefully a few of you. Eric just thought I was dumb. ha ha

Got any stories for me?

Spring has sprung!

I think that Spring is finally here to stay. Yahoo!! That is unless this rain turns to snow! :( I know I am a little slow but Saturday was a great day! I went with Eric to Pocatello. It was nice to just drive and be able to hang out and talk. I was pretty tired when we got home but it was fun to spend the day with him! That night we got together at my mom's for dinner, games and Easter eggs!!!!! We had lots of fun and some of the eggs turned out pretty sweet. We tried some different techniques this year. Rubber bands and oil (to make them marbleized). Here are some (lovely) pics.......

Eric, mom, Dylan, Court

Me and Dylan showcasing the final product.

Courtney being, well, Courtney.

Eric couldn't wait to eat them! Yuck. They are fun to color but NOT to eat.

Aren't they purrty?! Looks like we like pink and purple. In case you look close enough to see the ones marked "Twilight" or "Edward", those are NOT mine. ha ha Yes I do love the movie and books but I am not obsessed like my sister. ha ha She is a dork, but she knows it so it's cool. :)

We had a great Easter. We thought we were speaking in church but got a call Saturday morning saying they forgot that it was High Council Sunday. I could have been mad that I already prepared my 4 page talk but the relief out weighed the madness. ha ha. So we just got to enjoy Sacrament. (Which my ENTIRE family showed up to. They must not have got the memo that we were not speaking. Not that I invited them to come listen anyways!:) Then we went to dinner at my Grandma's and then just a couple hours later, we had dinner AGAIN at Eric's parents house! Don't worry, I rationed myself. ha! All in all, it was a great weekend!

One month from today......

One month from today will be Eric's first day at the Northwest Lineman College. This is a bittersweet time. Sweet because we have been waiting for this day for several months now and bitter because the school is in Boise, Id and since our home and my job are in Cache Valley, UT, he will be moving and I will be staying :( Some one has to hold down the fort and pay the bills. That should be fun to do on 1 income. ha ha. It is only a 15 week school so he will start May 4th and will finish August 14th. It will be a long Summer but will be SO worth it in the end.

Everything is finally falling into place. I am mailing the tuition check (gasp!) off today and have secured him a place to rent while he is there. He will try to come home for a visit at least once a month and hopefully twice just depending on the part time job that he finds while he is up there. Luckily I have lots of family and friends close by!

This will be really good for us. It will eventually give me the opportunity to stay at home where now, my income is half of our income and all of our benefits are through my work. That makes it almost impossible for me to ever be able to quit or go part time. We have talked with several people who are currently in this line of work and we feel very good about it. We have spent months praying! Construction has slowed down tons and we know that it is not a good field to be in right now and will probably be a while before it picks back up. He will continue to have his license so he can still do the work on future homes for us and for others that may need his help.

We are so excited for this opportunity and are even more excited for this schooling to be done!! There are other schools that are cheaper and closer but take 2 years. We decided that it was worth it to us to pay the extra tuition to get him in and get him out. It is a great school. Although there is chance that we will have to move away once he finishes the school, there is a pretty good chance that he will be able to get on at a local company and we will be able to stay here. Hopefully!!!

So, any of you that live around, if you are ever bored this summer, I most likely will be bored and lonely so give me a call!! ha ha. I do plan to try to stay pretty busy. Afterall, I do have some what of a little race to prepare for! ha!

I am going to miss him terribly but I am going to be tough! :)

ha ha. He fell asleep at my mom's on Sunday playing with his phone. I am so proud of you babe for making this decision to better our future! Love you!!!

Let's give this a shot

So I did it. I finally signed up to sell something. ha ha. I am now selling Avon. I know what you are thinking. Oh great! I promise not to be annoying or pushy or anything. The great thing about Avon is it costs so little to start up ($10) and there is no pressure. I am SO excited to give this a try. Eventually I would like to stay at home and I am hoping this will help get me there. I have been using Avon for quite a while. Before I started using it, I thought that it was just a cheap makeup line. I was SO wrong.

They have really reasonable prices. (There are some high end things that are more $$$) and what I love about them compared to Mary Kay is that they are always coming out with new stuff and have a new catalog all the time. The catalogs are jam packed with everything from makeup, perfume, skin care, hair care, clothes, purses, sandals, jewelry, housewares, gifts....etc. They have great sales too.

So, I will do posts on my blog occasionally letting you know when I will be doing orders (you get free shipping!) and if there are ever really good deals that I think some of you might like to know about. If you ever want to order, leave me a comment or call or email me. The best part is that you don't have to pay until you get the stuff. If you are not interested in ordering anything, just ignore me! :) I will not ever call and bug you. (Maybe text or email, but those are easy to delete or ignore Ha!)

I have several catalogs so if you want one I can get it to you. You can also go online to www.avon.com and look at everything and let me know if you want anything. If you order through me, you will always get free shipping. If you need something sooner, you can still order online or I can place it for you but there will be shipping charges. I will order every 2 weeks and the orders are usually here within 3 days. I am very new to this but feel free to ask any questions and I will find the answers if I don't know them.

If you have never tried any of their products, I recommend you choose one or two of your favorite items and try them through Avon. I am pretty sure you won't be disappointed in the price or the quality! But IF you are, they will gladly exchange it or refund your money. I am excited to get going and see what happens. My first order will be placed on the 9th so I need to know by the 7th or 8th if you want anything.

If you have any interest in starting to sell it, let me know! I can get you signed up and like I said earlier it is only $10 to sign up! That is almost unheard of. Thanks girls!

With spokes people (?) like Reese Witherspoon, Courtney Cox, Jennifer Hudson and Dr. McDreamy it has to be good, right?!
