Lazy Sunny Sunday

After church last Sunday we headed out to the Sanders'. Deegan quite enjoys grandmas tire swing.

What a happy, content, little guy!

You won't find him in shorts and barefeet this week!

First Bonfire

Just a month after he came home from his mission in Florida, Uncle David decided he was going to North Carolina for the summer with our cousin. So before he left, he decided we needed to have a bonfire! It had probably been before he left two years ago since we had one so we were all for it!

Deegan does not seemed thrilled. :) He was probably sick of getting his picture taken. You would think he would be used to it by now.

Roasting hot dogs is hard work! It was a fun night with the family! I think Deegan quite enjoyed his first bonfire/weiner roast. :) Maybe next year he can actually eat one!

David is safe and sound in North Carolina. I am sure it is sunny there. Not snowing..........Can't wait for him to get home in August!

Vegas Baby! Post 2

I am a little slow at getting the rest of the vegas pics up but here they are.......

I found a screamin deal on amazon on all these cute little jammies. I love them! It was not quite warm enough for him to wear them in Utah but he got to use them in vegas!

Deegan and mom at his first buffet! ha ha. It was at the Red Rock. This is such a nice hotel in Summerlin. The pool is amazing! Maybe one day I will be able to afford to do more than just eat there. ha ha.

What a happy boy in the morning! He usually wakes up cooing and happy as can be!

Deegan loved going bare foot in vegas! I think it is finally warm enough to do it in Utah! Let's hope it stays that way!

We had a grand time in vegas but it was good to get back home to Eric! The family all loved Deegan, we were not surprised. :) The majority of people think he looks like a Tribett baby. All I know is whoever he looks like must be one good lookin person! ha ha.

Vegas Baby! Post 1

Since I took a ton of pics during Deegan's first vacation, I decided to break it up into different posts so I don't overwhelm anyone.

Here is Deegan meeting his Great Grandma Tribett for the first time, and 4 generations.

Just before we headed for home. Deegan was already asleep in the car seat. I just noticed, me and David match, Dylan and Kevin match, Court just needs to be in yellow!

5 months old

Deegan turned 5 months old on the 13th. I can't believe it has been 5 months!! Here are a few things about Deegan at 5 months:

*He is finally a roller! He rolled over for the first time a few weeks ago but then never did it again. Last night he did it 4 times in a row. Twice to the left and twice to the right. Way to go! He did it like it was nothing, but seemed a little surprised when he ended up on his back. When we tried to get it on video later, the little stinker wouldn't do it.

*Last night he was trying REALLY hard to get is little legs up under his bum. Who knows, maybe he will be crawling sooner than we think.

*He is getting better with his rice cereal but will not even have anything to do with it unless there are bananas or applesauce mixed in. Hopefully we don't have a picky eater on our hands!

*He sleeps through the night pretty much every night. 8-10 hours. We love this! He goes to sleep so good too. We just read to him, kiss him, say I love you and Goodnight and lay him down and in just a few minutes, he is out!

*He still sleeps in his pack n play in our room. :) He doesn't bother us, we don't bother him, and I like having him there. Maybe at 6 months we will move him to his room. We shall see......

* He is talking SO much now. It is the best sound ever! He makes the cutest coo's and gurgle's.

*He is oh so smiley! What a happy guy!

*His fists are constantly in his mouth. He is such a drooler/slobberer.

* He loves to reach and grab at his toys. It is so cute to see him concentrate on doing it.

* He STILL is a big time spitter upper. :) We use a lot of bibs and burp clothes. Pretty sure that is the only bad thing about him! ha ha. And we can deal with that.

* He is still in size 1 diapers but is pretty much ready to go to size 1-2 or 2. Just need to finish up the last of the 1's.

* He still fits some of his 0-3 month clothes (mainly PJ's) but does wear some 3-6 months. What can I say, he is my little runt!

* He makes his mom and dad so happy!! We are having the best time watching him grow and learn new things! He really is the greatest gift and we are so blessed to have him in our home. We love you goober!!

Deegan's First Big Road Trip

Last week I loaded Deegan up and headed to Vegas with my family. Eric had to stay home for work and school so it was just Deegan and me. He is a great baby so I didn't think the car ride would be too bad but I was still a little nervous on what 7-8 hours in the car would do to him. :) We also required more stops to change diapers and such.

What a good boy! He did this for probably 90% of the trip there and back. He was such a great little traveler!

This is on the way home. He fell asleep holding onto his toy. I thought it was too cute!

The adults got tired of driving on the way home so we turned it over to Deegan. He looks pretty happy to me! (No worries, we were parked at the gas station. ha)

He was such a nice boy the whole time we were there and everyone kept commenting on what a good baby he is. And they are right! He had a good time meeting his Great Grandma and Great Aunts and Uncles. More pictures to come on the rest of our adventures in Vegas.

Deegan's First Easter!

Well the Easter Bunny found Deegan this year. And since he (Deegan, not the Easter bunny:) is such a sweet, nice, happy, cute little guy, he even left him some surprises!

I have taken quite a few pics of Deegan sleeping lately. What can I say, he looks so sweet when he is asleep! I think all babies do. So here ya go.

This night Deegan was ready for bed and me and Eric were going to watch a movie. I just didn't want to put him to bed so I snuggled him through the whole movie while he slept. It was wonderful!!

Later that same night after his bath. Apparently dad got wore out from his lessons as well!

Deegan is such a great sleeper at night! I finally moved him out of his bassinet (but not out of my room:) and into a pack n play. He sleeps SO good! I think he likes the extra room. He has been in it for almost a week and has slept through the night (8-10 hours) each night! I need to get some pics of him in it. I don't know what he does but he wakes up diagonal every morning. ha ha. He is such a fabulous little guy!
