One of my favorite things about Christmas, the cards!

I have always loved receiving everyone's Christmas cards. Even when I was younger and still living at home. I loved to see the pictures and read what everyone had been up to since we last heard from them. I am a big believer in sending out Christmas cards. I am usually the one that writes our family's letter each year. It is so fun to me. I was a slacker until last year but having a cute little baby to include on it helped motivate me!

Deegan likes to share

Okay now before people start commenting on how gross this is and that I shouldn't have let him do it, I already know. ha ha. But is was just so sweet and cute that I couldn't stop him! See for yourself!

What a nice boy! He loves Kai so much but she has never been a fan of him.I guess he learned quick that if you have food, she will be anyone's best friend! I just thought this was too cute not to share.

Mess maker!

Deegan has gotten pretty good at making messes around the house. He think he is pretty neat when he does! You have seen a couple of these before but that's okay. :)


Stretch!

If it bothers you that I let him suck on the lids and kitchen utensils and then just put them back in the drawer, you may not want to eat at my house. ha ha. Does anyone else do this or am I the only grub?

He loves to get in my tupperware lid drawer! That is just fine with me. I think it is a great entertainment tool.

This was actually my fault.....I needed him to be entertained while I did some stuff in the kitchen so I figured what's better than kitchen utensils?

Little stinker! This was the worse mess of all. I know there is still dog food under the washer. ha ha. Look how funny he thinks he is! Of course I ran to grab my camera before I stopped him. :) Can you see the water on the washer? Yeah, he had his chubby little hands in the dog water and food. Yummy!

He also really loves to get in the bottom drawer in our bathroom. This entertains him while I get ready in the mornings. He picks something up, looks at it and then chucks it. ha ha. I don't usually clean it up each day because really, what's the point?

He is such a crack up! I love his little personality! He is so busy and usually happy all day long. He is starting to become a tease just like his dad. Usually when he is ready to get out of the tub he will stand up at the edge and will grab him in his towel. Well last night he did this and when I put my arms out for him he hurried and sat back down and started laughing. I bet we played this game at least 10 times. He thinks he is pretty funny, and so do I! I think he knows that. What a fun guy to have around!

The Beard Story

So a few weeks ago we were at Sam's (It was actually Oct. 30). Eric and Deegan went off looking at stuff and Eric got sucked into the knife demonstration. Deegan was sitting on Eric's shoulders and Eric noticed a guy right by him kinda chuckling. He looked over and Deegan had his arm stretched clear out and was playing with the guys beard. ha ha. Kinda weird and maybe slightly gross but mostly funny! The kid loves facial hair. He doesn't get it from me! :) Grandpa Sanders and Uncle David both have beards and he likes to feel theirs. I cracked up when Eric told me this story. What a funny kid we have.

Deegan's birthday celebration!

Prepare for picture overload! You outta know by now that I do not do well at narrowing down the pictures. And this was a big day!! They are only sorta in order. There are way too many to put them in exact order.

Deegan was a lucky boy and had tons of family and a few friends over. We had shredded BBQ beef, grandma Sanders' delish cheesy potatoes, chili's chips and salsa, jello salad, relish tray and lots of other goodies for dinner!

Here we go!

The inside was beautiful!! It took me all day to make but once I saw this, it was all worth it! ha

We did presents before cake but oh well.

He was having a total come apart so we tried taking him out of the high chair.

Nope! He was so not a fan of the cake demolishing. I was a little sad but that's okay.

So we stuck him in the sink and all was well again!

Check out his loot! What a lucky boy. He deserved it all! The cute piggy bank is from Grandma and Grandpa Tribett and is painted with his name and monkeys on it. SO cute. I will have to get a pic of it on here.

Birthday boy waiting for his guests to arrive!

The sink didn't do the job so we put him in the real tub. He played with his new bath toys from Aunt Chelsie and Uncle Steven and then dried off with his new doggie hooded towel from G&G Tribett. It is SO cute!! And lots bigger than the baby ones.

Too much partying!! This is is favorite position to sleep in. I love it. His nifty new friend Scout plays him lullabies. We have him programmed now that he can say Deegan's name. It really is a cool toy. We love Leap Frog.

So there you have it. Deegan's 1st birthday mega post! It was such a fun night and we were so happy everyone could make it! What a blessed, loved little guy. We are so lucky to have him!
