Our Weekend

This weekend Eric had class in Tooele. We had planned to spend Friday night and Saturday night in SLC playing but Eric had to work Friday so he got up bright and early on Saturday and Deegan and I met up with him later. We stayed at the Crystal Inn and we liked it WAY better than the Hilton. It was a quick weekend, (we were in SLC less than 24 hours) but fun!

Deegan helping me pack up on Sunday morning.

Enjoying a bar of soap. ha ha It was in the wrapper.

Doing what he does best, looking adorable!

Trying on hats at good ole Target! This Target had only been open 2 weeks and it was pretty nice! Only bad thing about a new store, no clearance!

Saturday after Eric's class, we went to Zurcher's and got Deegan's party supplies. So cute! I can't wait! Then we got Eric's hair cut and went to dinner. We had a nice relaxing evening and then Eric left for class Sunday morning and me and Deegan drove home. Like I said, quick! But we got to see Eric a little more than "normal" so it was worth it.

On Friday, me and my mom took Deegan's pics for his party invites and I am excited! He wasn't loving it so I think we did pretty good. But those will have to wait!

11 months young!

Today Deegan is 11 months old!! I cannot even believe that in 1 month my baby will be one. Everyone said it would fly by, and it has! Here are several pics from the last month, followed by what Deegan has been up to!

He discovered the dishwasher the other night and had a great time helping me load it! As you can see by his face, he is pretty proud of his discovery!

He had his 1st bubble bath the other night. He LOVES the bath or shower. As soon as the water turns on he gets so excited.

And he LOVES to splash!

Helping cousin Kaden celebrate his birthday! Don't mind the red eyes. Maybe one day I will learn how to edit pics.

Just some super cute faces!

I am doing a pumpkin theme for his birthday invites so I wanted to get some pumpkin pics. Here are some of my favs from the the first attempt. We have some more ideas up our sleeves! :)

We built him a cage out of a bunch of new books he got. We wondered how long it would contain him or if he would just plow through them. It didn't last long but he just crawled over, picked up a book, set it aside and out he went! ha ha.

What a cute goober!

Highlights at 11 months:

* He weighs about 18.5 pounds
* Wears size 3 diapers, 6-9 month top, 3-6 month bottoms
* Has had 2 haircuts
* His sleeping pattern has changed drastically! He had a week where he would have a total come apart starting at about 6:30 each night and wouldn't fall asleep until 8-9. He would wake up several times during the night as well. It was worse than a newborn! He wasn't teething or anything. Then magically, a week later, he goes to sleep like a champ but is still waking up 1-2 times a night. I am not a fan!
* He pulls himself up to everything and even tries to CLIMB certain things. (Dressers, filing cabinets, beds....)
* He is constantly on the go! Loves to crawl everywhere and is very curious.
*Smiles and laughs all day long!
* Talks so much and has started making new noises like he is really trying to tell you something. Its pretty cute. He does this when he cries as well, and it sounds so sad then!
* We still have the binki. :)
* LOVES dogs. Now if only Kai loved him back. ha ha
*Has been clapping and waving lots lately! This makes me so happy because I have been working on these so much with him! He doesn't have them mastered but at least he is showing me that he is getting it.
* He loves his dad! Eric is gone so much and it makes him sad that he doesn't see Deegan. He was worried that Deegan would start to become unattached or unfamiliar with him but not so! Especially this last weekend, he was daddy's little pal!
* He still only has 2 bottom teeth.

I think that about covers it! I will add more if I think of it. More for my benefit than yours. :) It makes me so sad and happy to think that he is almost 1 year old. I can't wait for his party but it is sad that my baby is growing up so fast! We love him and all the fun and personality he brings to our family! My family often says that they need their "Deegan Fix" and it is so true. He makes everything better. We love you little monkey!!

A day in the life of Eric

Eric has been taking a few pics while he has been working in Wyoming so I thought I would share in case you were wondering what he has been up to.....

The area he is working in.

The job yard with all the poles and other material for the line.

Here is Eric up in a bucket terminating the end of a wire. He is about 80 feet up in the air.

And this would be how their day started out on Saturday! The guy driving was only going about 1 mph but when the truck went into a raveen, the trailer tipped and due to the HEAVY load, it went totally over!

You can see that spool left on the trailer and it was full of those. The rest of them rolled off and got totally bent up. Eric said he thinks they each weigh about 12,000 lbs and are worth about $20,000 a piece. Moral of the story is, DON'T WORK ON SATURDAYS!!! ha ha. Isn't that what you got out if it? Okay so that is just my own opinion. Luckily, no one was hurt. Eric was driving the truck right be hind this one.

This pic is blurry but that is a Golden Eagle above him! This isn't Eric, I was informed of that. ha ha. Now that I know, I can clearly see it is not my husband. :)

I guess he was just chillin at the top of one of the poles. One guy almost got to touch him but he flew over to the next pole. Another guy on his crew got a pic really close up so I wanna try to get a copy. We thought it was pretty cool that he was able to see and be so close to such a cool bird.

He is really enjoying the work and would have no complaints at all if it were a little closer to home. We have been told that he will most likely be there until the middle of November and they will be working Monday-Saturdays until then. They have been working 12-14 hour days so he pretty much works, showers, eats and sleeps. 2 weeks ago he worked 78 hours in a week! But the good news is, as long as everything goes as planned, after this job he will be coming back home to work at a job that will last until April!!!! Yahoo!!! So we are really praying that nothing changes and he doesn't get sent somewhere else in the mean time. We have been so blessed and are so thankful for this great job that he has.

I am so proud to be married to him and I know we are so lucky to have him. He would do anything for us and is sacrificing so much right now. It will all pay off in the end. So there you have it. Now you know a little bit more about what he does. And if you didn't know, he is a 3rd step Apprentice Lineman!

Cooperation!!

Whenever I get the video camera out to get Deegan to do something, he usually doesn't cooperate for me. I still get a super cute video but rarely do they turn out like I had planned. Until tonight!

So, for your viewing pleasure, here is Deegan's newest accomplishment!

(Yes, I know my voice is super annoying but oh well....)

So there you have it! My child is a genius! :) Well he is freakin cute, thats for sure!

The Great California Trip of 2010--Post 6

Drum roll please!!!

This is the last post of our Cali trip! Beware, it has a bazillion pics and believe it or not, I did narrow them down in this one!

Sea World!

This guy was massive. He was pretty funny. Kept swimming the same loop and when he got to the glass where we were he would rub his head and back on the glass as he turned the other direction.

Just outside the shark exhibit. Can you tell we got a little sun at this point?

In the tunnel in the shark exhibit.

Touching the star fish....

Touching the sting ray things. Funny story, Deegan was asleep when we got to this exhibit and so me and Eric were watching them and they would curl their fin things up and slap the water and it would splash. Well one splashed pretty good and it splashed water right onto Deegans face. That woke him up! ha ha. He wasn't too happy at first but the kid loves water so when I got him close he was all over reaching right in.

He loved it!

Notice how I am about as far away as I can be and still touch? ha ha. They really did feel pretty cool.

Eric got a pretty good feel of them. I think it is neat how much they let you interact with most the exhibits.

These guys were my fav!! ha ha. They are hilarious to me. Look at the funny positions they get in. I loved it. I like the sea lion show the best too. Funny little creatures.

I am a little confused about where our dolphin pics are. We stayed with the dolphins for quite a while. Eric got to touch them and I got drenched trying! ha ha. They were so playful and if you splash and them, they splash at you. And they are a lot better at it! It was pretty neat!

The next day we headed back to vegas but we wanted to stop at the San Diego temple first. The grounds were under construction so it wasn't quite what it normally is but it is still a beautiful temple! Deegan was already asleep in the car.

We of course stopped to visit my grandma in vegas and my Aunt Teria and Uncle Jed stopped by too. Deegan is getting smooched by he great aunt.

And here he is with my grandma Tribett! She loves him so much! I am glad we were able to get him to her again. We don't get to see her often enough!

So there you have it! The end! Are you happy? Don't you worry, I am still behind and still have more to catch up on!

Thanks again OH SO MUCH to Eric's parents for making this vacation happen! We had a blast!! Love you all!

The Great California Trip of 2010--Post 5

Are you wondering if these post will ever end?! Me too! ha ha. Maybe I should change the title. A normal person would just narrow down the pics but I just can't!

You have to get the family pic in front of Mickey's face!

The whole gang!

Cute cousins meeting Eeyore.

Deegan was not being nice to Eeorye. He just wanted to pull on his ear. ha

Deegan loving on his new friend Mickey. I LOVE this stuffed, uh, animal? It is so so soft and as big as Deegan! Thanks Grandma Sanders!!

Riding It's a Small World! This ride is classic! It just makes me so happy. Deegan LOVED this ride. He was talking the whole time and so excited and happy the whole time. I got a video of it but it is kinda long!

I think this pic is hilarious! Eric is smiling and all ready to go, Deegan looks confused, Kambree is screaming, Randi is trying to calm things down.....ha ha. Love it!

Aren't we cute?! :)

He smiles with his eyes and I love it!

Ride 'em Cowboy!

I think that wraps up Disneyland! No we are going to head to Sea World!!
