Yeah, the dinner was a lot bigger than I thought! We weren't as special as we were thinking but it was still so fun! It was a nice catered dinner with salad, chicken, red potatoes, eclairs, lemonade and italian sodas. Yum!

She sounded awesome! That girl can sing. She was so fun and bubbly. You can't really tell in this pic but in between the dinner and the concert she got extensions put in. Our seats were not that great but still, I can't complain! There was another couple in our little group and they got better seats and then arranged it so they got FRONT ROW seats. He had some lame excuse like he was going to propose on stage, but whatever! So they got the good seats and he totally blew the proposal! She said yes but he just stood there and said "Will you marry me?" Lame. Okay, so maybe I am a little bitter because they got my good seats but still, put some thought into it man! :)

Jordin Sparks!

So as many of you probably already know, yesterday I won tickets to the VIP dinner and meet and greet with Jordin Sparks and then obviously to her concert that night. I took my sister and it was so much fun! We had no idea what to expect and had all sorts of crazy ideas (maybe we would leave and be BFF's with her:) but it wasn't quite what we hoped. ha ha. It was still so much fun. I have some pictures I will post but I forgot my camera at home so hopefully they will be up tomorrow!! I never win anything so it was way exciting for me, especially since I barely entered to win the day before! It was a long day and we didn't get home until 12:30 am but it was worth it. I will go into a little more detail when I have pictures so check back if they are not up.......

Hello! So I think I am going to make my blog available to anyone, at least for a while. I have some family members that would like to see it and so if anyone else knows of someone that has wanted to view our blog, let them know that now they can. I think I am going to scream!!!!!

Well, in case you didn't notice my layout and font, etc. is completely different. Yeah, it was not planned but if you could have seen what it looked like a few minutes ago.....I somehow switched to classic and thought all my links and stuff were gone.....anyways, to make a long story short, I am happy with it looking like this. I may never change my background again because I always have issues. I should have just done exactly what Keisha told me to! :) Oh well, don't ask me how I got it back to showing all of my links cuz I don't think I could tell you. I am just glad they magically reappeared! So I will just have to get used to it looking like this until I get brave again........

So I finally got my house semi squared away. Good enough to take some pics anyways. There is still lots to do but we are making progress. The pictures were strategically taken to hide certain things like the fact there are no blinds and we have a Raiders blanket over one window and the pile of random decorations that still need to find a home! We hope to have a BBQ soon so we will keep you posted!

After! We just got the furniture yesterday and as you can see, Eric wasted no time putting it to good use!

Here is another after, just ignore that nice and ugly cord hanging down from the TV! We had all the other wires run through the wall but for some reason they couldn't do the HDMI (for HDTV) cable at the same time. So now we are on a mission to find a 30 ft. HDMI cable to run through the wall. I will leave that one to Eric.



This is Kai's buddy. Eric gave this to me for Valentine's Day while we were dating. I had it in my cedar chest and the first night we were in the house, I went in to get a quilt out of my chest and then left the room and shut the door. Well a short while later, I hear Kai whining (which is not abnormal:) so I walked back to see what she wanted. She was whining at the spare bedroom door so I opened it and she ran right over and put her front paws on my cedar chest. I opened it and pulled "valentine" out and put it in the hall and this is where she stayed the rest of the night. I think she was a little confused and stressed with all the moving and just needed a friend! :)


This is a sunset off of our deck. My brother always comments on how beautiful the Florida sunsets are but I think ours are just as beautiful. Okay, so maybe I have never seen a Florida sunset.......

Get Cheap (or free!!) Groceries!!

I know that I am not the only one who would LOVE to save more money on groceries. I found this site called www.thegrocerygame.com It is awesome! I just signed up and it is only $1 for the first month and then it is only $10 for every 8 weeks. You just go to the site to sign up and enter your zip code and it will tell you what stores are available in your area. If there is more than 1 store than it is just an additional $5 per store. For example in my area there are 2 stores so after my four weeks is up, it will be $15 every 8 weeks. If can save you over $100 dollars a month so it is way worth it. You just log in each week and it will tell you the best deals and even color coordinates it. (one color means this is a good deal if you need it right now and another means this is a good time to stock up because it won't go this low again) Hopefully I am making sense :) It seems really neat and what is even better is if you refer people, you can earn free weeks. Moving Day!!

The long awaited date finally arrived! We closed on the house on the 5th and kind of started moving stuff in. We both took Friday off and got everything else in and actually were able to find the bed, put it together and sleep there! (Thanks mom and dad!) It was a lot of fun and so nice to be in. We had a very busy weekend but got most everything unpacked and organized. I was even able to talk Eric into hanging stuff for me. It actually look likes a home! We bought new living room furniture but it will not be here until around the 20th! So it is back to the good old banana chairs for a couple weeks. Oh well. Closing went really well and we were pleasantly surprised when the payment was a decent amount less than we were expecting. Whew!! Much better than MORE than you were expecting. I like to stress about every possible thing that I can so I was glad to get that all over and done with. No more phone calls from the mortgage lady, no more making sure everyone is paid and happy and no more keeping track of how much we have spent! I don't think Eric will know what to do when he gets home from work tonight and can actually just relax :) I am sure he will figure it out though.

I just wanted to really thank my family for letting us live with them for 7 months!! It helped us out so much! It is kind of weird to not be there anymore but we are only like a mile away so they will still see me often! But my family is the best and my mom did so much to help us. I really loved talking with my mom each night and just hanging out. But it is very nice to have our own place again and we are so excited. I love my family so much and appreciate them putting up with us!

We want to have a BBQ or something and have people over, but we should probably wait until we have somewhere for everyone to sit! I will try to post some pictures soon but again, I want to wait for my furniture:) Hopefully everyone is doing good, and we will talk to you later!!
