We had such a great Christmas and we all got spoiled but I think Deegan wins!

Christmas at the Tribett's

After we did Christmas at our house it was off to my parents! In no particular order, here is the fun we had there.....

Our stockings! That Elmo hat is adorable and he loves to wear it.

Deegan wanted to bring this leapfrog laptop with him and it has been such a great toy. He loves it and it has already taught him that his name starts with "D" and what a "D" looks like. He has also gotten pretty good and singing his ABC's but he still has room for improvement. :) We love leap frog!

He also liked playing with Taysons toys.

Santa should have just brought Tay a sippy cup but all he wanted was to chew on Deegan's.

David got surprised with a scooter! We were glad to finally get it out of our garage. ha ha. He had one before his mission and was so sad to let it go. This one is pretty similar to it.

What is it?!

He was pretty excited about his trucks. He loves to push the around and will love to take them outside when it warms up I am sure! We plan to stick baby Griffin in the bed of the dump truck for some pics :)

After presents we had our traditional German Pancakes with little smokies. Yum! We always look forward to it!

Then we headed home for naps before going out to Grandma Suzy's.

Santa Came!!

This was his main gift from mom and dad. I think he was happy about it. :)

Santa brought Deegan this sweet kitchen! (Santa forgot to bring the stickers for the kitchen but he delivered them later:)

He was pretty excited about the phone :)

We got a cute video of him when he saw the kitchen and was jumping up and down. ha ha. It was so fun this year and will be more fun next year with him!

We love this kitchen. For anyone looking into one, I recommend this one. It is a great space saver and still not chinsy. It doesn't have all the bells and whistles that some of them have but it is perfect for what we wanted.

We had a great morning at home and then we headed over to Grandma Holly's!

More about Deegan!

I thought of a few more things that I want to remember about Deegan and since I had a few new pics, I figured I would do another post.

He found a licorice rope and had a lot of fun with it!

Now these next few pics are a little sad, but kind of funny. :) He was really tired.......

When he gets mad, or you tell him no, he likes to throw things. Especially his sippy cups. Also, if he doesn't have something in his hand, he will go and find something to throw. And even better, if he has food in his mouth and you tell him no or make him mad, the food gets spit out. Lovely.

So these next few pics, I was getting ready to put him down for a nap and he was beyond tired. He got mad and ran over to the stairs and threw his sippy cup down the stairs. He immediately wanted it back but wanted me to go get it. Not happening. So I explained to him that since he threw it he had to go get it. He cried and whined and threw little fits but finally made it down and got his dang sippy cup!

But he's still ticked.

Gotta love it. ha ha. A few more things I remembered about our little goober.......

*He has learned how to say "Shhhhh." But instead of pressing his finger to his lips, he does it to his nose. So cute!
*He says "With Me" when he wants you to take him with you, carry him somewhere, or to sit with him and play or watch a show.
*He gets scared anytime someone comes to the door.
*He remembers both Moose and Kai and asks about them or says "Moose bye bye, Kai bye bye" We have a pic of them on our fridge and he likes to be lifted up to look at it. Cute and sad.
*He knows the shapes of a moon and stars.
*He asks to go bye bye several times a day.
*LOVES orange juice.
*Talks about the baby and knows where he will sleep and that certain things are for the baby. He seems to understand somewhat about a baby coming but I am sure he doesn't fully understand what is about to take place.
*He likes to point out when it gets dark outside and that there is snow outside.
*Anytime he wakes up he tells you that he had a goodnight :)
*He has learned how to say open in Spanish.
*We brush his teeth with a Sonicare and he likes it much better then a regular toothbrush. So his teeth are much cleaner!

Well there's a few more things about Deegan! I was just telling my mom that I really don't feel like I miss out on adult interaction during the day. Deegan talks so dang much and keeps me so entertained! Don't get me wrong, I still like "me" time or going out but being home with Deegan has many positives!

34 Weeks

Today marks 34 weeks! 7 more days and I will have been pregnant longer then I was with Deegan. :) So here is a lovely pic for your enjoyment! ha ha

I had an appointment today and since I went early with Deegan she did my Strep B test today to make sure we got it. (I didn't get it with Deegan so I had to have the antibiotics anyways just in case). She also did my first cervical exam, which I never had done with Deegan. It wasn't too bad. She said I am dialated to a 1 and 50% effaced. I know people can be like that for weeks so I am not letting it worry me too much. She is now having me come every week so that we can keep an eye on things. She didn't dare feel too much for where Griffin's head is so we will check that next week a little more.

Overall I am feeling really well! I don't sleep too well because my hips bother me but other then that I think I am doing great. Deegan is getting harder to chase and I am pretty sure he thinks his mom is pretty boring these days. Luckily he is a great kid and we still manage to have fun! He probably watches a little too much Dora but at least it is somewhat educational, right?

I have been feeling Griffin move a lot more. He has dropped down it seems and although it is more uncomfortable for my bladder, I think it feels better in general. He doesn't seem to be as crazy as a mover as Deegan was. I can remember wondering what the heck Deegan was doing in there! And I could usually tell where his feet were, etc. With Griffin, I have no idea what movements are what. I am hoping this means he is smaller then his brother. :) I was measuring big with Deegan by now but I am not with Griffin so I am hoping that means he will be a little more average sized. 6-7 lbs would be okay! (For those that don't know, Deegan was 5 lb 12 oz at 5 weeks early! They said he easily could have been high 8's or low 9's if he went full term. No thanks!:)

I pretty much have everything ready. At least a lot more so then with Deegan. If Griffin came tonight (but we pray he doesn't), I wouldn't be too behind. I need to figure out how I want the carseats set up in the car, get the bassinet moved into our room and get our AngelCare monitor set up in it and other then that I just need to clean my house! ha ha. That is the hardest thing.

Deegan's new room is all ready to go for the most part. We are just waiting for daddy to put the closet rods in the closet so I can move his hanging clothes over. Then we just need to get him to sleep in his big boy bed! So for now Deegan technically occupies 2 rooms. The dresser is stocked and ready for Griffin but since Deegan is still sleeping in the crib, I haven't put the new bedding on or done any redecorating just yet. We will take our time with it so that Deeg doesn't feel pushed out or anything. I imagine Griffin will be in our room for at least a couple of months anyways so I am really not in a panic.

Well, I think that about covers things pregnancy wise. I haven't been near as good at documenting this pregnancy but I think that is sort of normal. I am going to try to keep up on more details these last few weeks especially since we are almost to the point of pregnancy that I didn't experience with Deegan. So, there ya have it! If you are still with me, we have made it to 34 weeks and will now just take it a day at a time. I am hoping to make it at least 3 more weeks but no more then 4! ha ha. Not that I have any control over it!

Deegan Update

Deegan is learning and changing so much everyday! I need to keep up on the monthly updates so I don't forget stuff. So here are as many things as I can come up with to say about Deegan over the last couple of months.

* Today I told him he needed to get some food in his belly so he proceeded to stick grapes down his shirt. :)
* He is saying more phrases and pronouncing them better. (What you doing?, Where are you?, We gonna go bye bye?, What'd you do?, I had a goodnight)
* Favorite shows are Elmo in Grouchland, Dora the Explorer, Go Diego Go, and Bubble Guppies and Price is Right.
*Points to the bassinet and says "Baby go night night".
*His counting to 10 has gotten much clearer.
*Likes to sit on the potty but hasn't done anything yet. We haven't really started potty training but if he asks to go potty, I will put him on it until he says all done.
*Loves to put things in the microwave and cook them and will get a pan out if he wants it cooked on the stove (hot dogs).
*It is hit or miss on his eating. Some days he does great and others, not so much. He loves hot dogs, chicken nuggets and fruit snacks. Not exactly a well balanced diet. He really loves Gerber meals and that is our go to item if he hasn't eaten much.
*It is so much easier to communicate with him. You can ask him where something is and he can usually find it for you. (Like when he walks off with the remotes or leaves a sippy cup laying somewhere.)
* Says thank you (tat tou) at least 100 times a day. He is so polite! He also says sorry alot even when there is nothing he did. (Like if he falls down)
* He loves his daddy to put him to bed and some mornings he will only let dad get him out of bed.
*He calls his daddy "Eric" a lot of the time. Its pretty cute.
*He likes the Party Rock Anthem or whatever its called by LMFAO.
*He is a little love bug and loves to be held and to sit on your lap to read stories.
*He loves to take our Iphones and knows how to unlock them and has even sent a couple of texts and made a couple of phone calls. And swapped tiles in my Words with Friends games. :)
*He has amazing hearing! Sometimes I think he is so zoned in on something but as soon as he hears the Words with friends sound he immediately comes over and thinks its his turn.
*Calls his grandma Sanders, Suzy
*Plays really well by himself but will still call you into his room, point to the floor and say "seat". Of course we can't turn him down.
* Still loves putting lids on things and is very good and spinning the lid to tighten it. He gets mad if he sees you putting a lid on and you don't let him do it.
*Still isn't a fan of nursery.
* Knows red, yellow, blue, green and orange pretty well.
*He is very talkative!! He talks and jabbers all day long. Esp in the car. He is constantly pointing things out as we drive (buses, balloons, trucks, flags, motorcycles, Mcdonald's....)
*Calls Eric's truck "Red".
*Sleeps with Scout, a little stuffed elmo, his build a bear dog, and two fleece blankets (each grandma made him one)
*He is such a happy kid and everyone tells us how full of personality he is. And it's true! He is very entertaining and very good company to have around. I can't believe he is going to be a big brother. He will always be my baby. He is such a sweetheart and I am so glad that I have been able to have this time at home just me and him before the baby comes. He will be such a good big brother and I can't wait to see them become best friends. I love my little goober so so so much!!!
