Oroville, CA
Oroville, CA
We spent some time in Oroville, CA this Summer/Fall and I was not a fan of that place! However, they did have a neat fish hatchery and we happened to be there during the Salmon spawn. It was pretty neat to see! Oroville Dam was very pretty as well.
Checking out the monster sized fish!
This is where they kept the baby fish. I am sure there is a more technical name for them but that's what I call them!
There were little droplets of the food pellets all along the cement wall (the one that says "KEEP OFF" we can't read....) and it was fun to gather a bunch in your hand or just push it off the edge and watch the fish swarm to get it. We did that for quite a while.
With our friend Chad
Then we headed across the road to the dam to see the under water viewing windows of the fish ladder. So cool!
There were some Salmon and some Sturgeon. There were some seriously huge fish and some you could tell were really old. Don't mind Deegan's finger in his nose :)
The whole fam damily and the dam!
It was a fun little outing as a family and with our Line family. We went to Popeye's for dinner after. Love these kind of days!
