Enough Already

I know, I know, I have been a horrible updater. I am sorry. But don't you worry, there will be more than enough pics in this post to make up for it! Deegan is doing great. We went to the Dr. 4 days ago and he was 6 lbs 7 oz! That is great weight gain and the doctor was very happy. I will take him in once this week and once next week to make sure he is still gaining good weight. He is moving on up and is now in the 10th percentile! Woot woot! :)

He is still just the sweetest baby. So much fun to have around. :) He loves to have his hair washed but is not so much a fan of the rest of bath time. He loves to lay chest to chest with you and loves to snuggle.

As for me, in the words of the lactation consultant at Deegan's pediatrician's office, I have been through the ringer. That is not an understatement. Last Sunday all of the sudden I got very cold and shakey. I had a small fever of 101 and was getting very worried that I had the flu. The more I started thinking about, I thought I might have mastitis. I got on the trusty site of WebMD and sure enough, I had all the symptoms! I called my doc on Monday and they got me going on an antibiotic. Yesterday I finally was feeling back to normal. In this time however, I had major engorgement, cracks, blisters, you name it! My mouth broke out in a million canker sores and I got a cold sore on my face. Yup, on my face! Ugh!!

Just when I thought nothing else could go wrong, I started to get a little rash last night. I didn't really think much of it but this morning it was not so little anymore. I was covered, almost head to toe, in a rash! All over my face, chest, stomach, back, arms and thighs. It is itchy and SO ugly. I went to the dermatologist and was told it was a drug reaction from my antibiotics most likely. So he switched my antibiotics since I still had 3 days left to finish. Then came the good news......"It is going to get worse." Just what I wanted to hear! Oh and the cold sore and cankers, a reaction to the mastitis. Aren't I lucky? I am almost afraid to ask what could possibly happen to my body next.

Anyways, on to the pics of the sweetest little boy ever!

They love eachother! :)

All bundled up for his first Dr's appointment. Too bad he peed all over this before we left and we had to change him. ha ha.

My 3 little loves all sleeping together. Wish I were sleeping..... :)

I thought his hands were so cute in this pic!

His cord FINALLY fell off!!

The jammies say it all!

More pics to come. Nope! I am still not caught up on pics. Deegan has been keeping me a little busy. But I am loving every minute of it!

It's true Brooke I did! We can be mastitis buddies! :) I was telling Chad how grateful I am to live in these days with antibiotics and motrin!! I don't think I would survive without drugs :)

I'm so sorry you've had such a rough time. I got mastitis twice. It really sucks. I can't imagine having other things to deal with as well. Hope you feel better soon! Deegan is adorable and I'm glad he's growing so fast.
