Griffin is ONE!

Yes, I realize the last post I did was about Griffin being 11 months....I have some catching up to do!

Griffin turned one on the 9th! We had a fun party for him and I will do a separate post about that. Here are some (I really did narrow it down, they were just too cute!) of his 1 year pics and some fun facts about Griffin at a year!

 

This is his cheeser face he loves to pull.

Deegan wanted in on the action. I didn't think he would want anything to do with it or else I would have dressed him for the occasion! And maybe combed his hair better......I was pretty sad. But he is still pretty adorable!

I love this face and this kid so much!

How big is Griffin? SOOOOO Big!

Ha ha. How big is Deegan? SOOOO Big. Funny boy.

He was just about done with pics. But we still had to do an outfit change!

Sad boy. We are almost done Griffy!

 We have an almost identical one taken at 6 months so this was fun!

This boy is such a sweet addition to our family! I think we just make sweet boys! Griffin is really so happy and content. He always has been. Here are some things I want to remember about him:

He says: Dada (1st word), Mama, Hi, Please, Cheese, bye bye, Deegan (he is kind of stingy with this one), No, dog (ga), ear, ah du (all done), cookie (coo ca) and I think that is it. Of course they are not super clear but he is doing really well with trying talk.

He knows where is ears are.

Loves bananas, avocados, nutrigrain bars, cheese, nilla wafers, cheerios, chicken nuggets, and really just about anything you give him.

He will wave his arm and shake his head when he his full or to say no.

Points at things. So cute.

Likes to "Drive" cars around.

We have 2 canvas family pics in our house and every time we walk by one griffin always points and says "dada". One is right about his high chair and he will crane his neck and point and say it. I guess my boys both just love their daddy!

Drinks his milk really good. This is so nice because Deegan will not drink milk.

Likes to watch Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and most any other show Deegan watches. But he only sits still if he is watching in his high chair. Otherwise he would rather crawl and play.

He loves our dog Lucy and she is so good with him. He sticks his finger out and she will lick it and softly chew it. He can pull on the fur on her face and ears and she doesn't care.

He has 6 teeth. 4 on top and 2 on bottom. This is not good news for his crib. ha ha. I had to rig up a blanket to tie over the main part of the rail.

At one year he weighs 20lbs 1 oz and is 28 3/4" tall. He wears size 4 diapers, size 12-18 month clothes.

HATES getting dressed! It is usually a big fight to get his diaper changed and get him dressed. He doesn't like to stay still for that long.

A bath can make him happy no matter what. He loves them and gets so excited when he knows he is getting one.

Such a happy kid. He doesn't seem close to walking to but is a speedy crawler and is getting braver to hold onto things with just one hand and moves around pretty good. Deegan didn't walk until 16 months so we will see what he does!

When we go to answer the door, he gets pretty excited to see who is on the other side.

Of course we love this kid so dang much. I feel so blessed every day knowing that I am the mom of these sweet boys and that I get to spend my days with them.
