As most of you probably know, Eric loves dirt bikes. And his last couple have been KTM's. So when I found this onesis before Deegan was born, I had to buy it! And now it finally fits him.
He has probably been busier than when he was working. Between helping friends for extra money, finding side construction jobs and putting our yard in, he has been so busy. I know this is because he is such a hard worker and also mainly from answered prayers.
A couple weeks back he was able to pick up a couple shifts with Wasatch. This was great. And now this week, he has been working again but we don't know for how long. He has been working the 1-11 shift in West Valley which means he leaves home about 10:30 am and gets back about 1 am. LONG day. Yesterday he left for work at 10:30 like usual and one of the times I talked to him he said they had the opportunity to work late so he was going to. This meant overtime and double time so you really can't turn it down. I went to bed and he called me about 1 am and said they were still working and he would let me know. I woke up at 4:30 and had not heard from him and I got a little nervous. I called him but no answer. My crazy brain likes to play tricks on me and think of the worst possible scenarios. Anyways, he called me about 5 and was fine of course, but still working. I woke up with Deegan at a little after 7 and still no Eric. He got home about 8:30 am! By the time he showered and got to bed it was 9:30. That is a 22 hour day!
He slept almost 3 hours and by 1 pm today he was heading to a job he is working on in Logan. And he is still there. It is almost 10 pm. Eric has been up for about 36 hours and has slept for a total of maybe 4 of those. He seriously amazes me! He works so hard for this family and I know there is nothing he wouldn't do for us! We are so blessed and lucky to have him as a dad and husband. He never gives up. He never feels sorry for himself. He does what he needs to do and is happy to do it. I am pretty sure I would have collapsed by now. Oh yeah, and he is on call tonight. I am really hoping he doesn't get called out. I already told him if he does, I will drive him, me and Deegan will stay in a hotel while he works and then he can come back there to sleep and I will drive him home after.
Sorry for the massive explanation. :) I just want to remember, always, how amazing my husband is. He loves us so much and although it sucks that we really have not seen him since Tuesday, he is doing what he can, while there is work. I love him so much and am so happy for the example that he will be to Deegan as he gets older. We love you so much Eric!!

That's impressive! I've done a couple of 36 hour days (of not sleeping, not all work though) and they really do make for some exhausting days!
You do have a good husband! It must run in the family! I can't believe he did that though! That is a long day!
Wow! What long days! What a good guy you have for sacrificing so much for you!
That is a long few days of work! I'm impressed. It's great when guys are willing to sacrifice so much for their family. I hope he gets a break soon.
