Go me!

Well I must say that I had a VERY productive Saturday. Who cares if I stayed in my PJ's until about 4? PM that is. Not me! I got my floors swept and mopped (thanks to my handy, dandy Hoover Floormate!), all my Christmas decor taken down (and yes that includes my tree!), and I got all redecorated for winter. I am not totally in love with all of my arrangements but they will do for now. Did I mention that I also got my computer/office/craft/scrapbook/catch all room totally de-junked and cleaned AND got our spare bedroom all cleaned up and rearranged and ready for guests! Well, almost. Now all we need are some more pillows and some blinds on the windows. (And of course some cute decorations. That will come in time....) But if anyone needs a place to stay for a visit, you are more than welcome. We will even hang a sheet over the window for you! We are most accommodating. :)

After my eventful day, I was ready for a nap. No such luck. I took a shower and (finally) got dressed and ready for the day. Then I made a delicious and nutritious dinner of chicken nuggets and tator tots (hello people, I just basically cleaned my house top to bottom. No way was I cooking an actual meal!) and then it was off to Eric's parents for a funfilled, eveing of Bunko (Bunco?) with his fam, my fam and a few friends. We do it every year between Christmas and New Year's. It gets a little rowdy and we eat a bunch of junk but in my book New Years resolutions (or goals as I like to call them) don't start until you have to go back to work. So I ate whatever I wanted!

Although most of the time off was lazy, I felt good about it since I was so productive on Saturday. Nothing like some good old procastination to motivate you! Hope you all had a marvelous break or that you at least got a break! I am so very excited to start this new year. It is going to be a good one! I can feel it! I do have some New Year's goals. Some just for me and some for me and Eric. Both physical and spritual. I (we) can do it! I wish all of you the best of luck in being successful with yours as well. Last New Years I called and cancelled my gym membership since I was not using it. Not how most people start theirs out but saving money was more important that year :)

I really did not intend on this turning into such a novel so if anyone made it this far, I just want to thank all of you for your friendship! Life is wonderful right now and we couldn't be happier. We hope this new year finds you all well and with great aspirations for the upcoming months! Align Center
Happy New Year!!

Doesn't it feel good? I love it when we get everything put away and my house looks so clean...not cluttery. It sometimes feels empty when everything is back in its place and the christmas clutter is gone...but I like it!

I love productive days! My house looks naked with Christmas put away, but oh well! I guess I need to buy more regular decorations.
