Bye Bye Guest Room!!

Last night around 8:30 I asked Eric if we could start to take the bed out of the guest room. He asked if we could wait until Saturday. That was fine with me. About 10:30 Eric calls to me to come help him fold something. I wander down the hall to find him taking the bedding off the guest room. I was so excited!! Then he took the bed apart and hauled it out. By this time it was about 11 pm. I smiled and asked if we could put the crib together. He just laughed at me and said yes. Yipee!! We have had it in our garage since July I believe so I was SO ready to see it!

It didn't take us TOO long. We finished around midnight. (Would have been faster if he were doing it alone I am sure!) He was very patient to put up with me when I was making sure the "best" sides were facing out. I searched high and low to find a white crib that didn't show the screws on the front so I wanted to make sure the most perfect sides were showing as well! And there may have been a couple times when I was SURE he was doing it wrong. :)
I absolutely LOVE our crib!!

And the to make things even more exciting, the bedding arrived today!!!
And it doesn't look as bad as I was expecting. I think I will keep it! :) Apparently our crib manufacturer doesn't realize that bumpers will most likely be used. There are a couple of places where I had to get creative on tying the ties but I think it will work. The lighting is not too great in here. We were just thinking we need to change the light bulbs.

Ariel view!

This is the molding/shelving that goes along 2 walls that I need to find cute things to put on. My moms friend is going to get me some cute chunky wood letters for his name and I will paint or modge podge or do something to them but other than that I am going to be on the look out for cute ideas to do up there. I want to bring more green/yellow in with accessories since there is a lot of brown in the room. (The walls really are chocolate brown they just don't really look like it)

See this lovely, boring, empty window? I have some valences to put up but since my hubby is insane about putting holes in things, I had to buy a tension rod and that thing is a piece of junk! I got too frustrated with it for one night!

And here is the valance just waiting to be put up!

So there is our nursery so far. I still need to get a glider chair, changing table (which Eric is doing if I can just get him motivated!:), a mobile to match the room and accessories!! But that is a decent amount of progress for 24 hours if you ask me!

Oh and we plan to put our twin bed in our office so we will have SOME room for guests still. And you can always bring an air mattress! :)
