OCA Race

This last Saturday Eric had the opportunity to participate in a race at the OCA track in Ogden. Since it was planned kind of last minute, and I had already planned on going to Park City for a girls weekend, I was not able to go watch him. So thanks a TON to Melissa for taking these pics for me!
Big thanks to Summer's Construction for sponsoring him!! That was really nice and other wise he wouldn't have been able to do it. It was really official. (They taped business cards to his dirt bike.) Hey, it works!

He is number 43. (4 is his favorite number and 3 is mine. Isn't that sweet? :)

He did pretty good. He did 2 races and got 7th in both. (I think there were about 26 racers?)

He was a little bugged because after he finished the second race, he found out that hey had put him down as "Did Not Start". It didn't really matter anyways since they were not going to racing on Sunday and you have to race all races for it to really matter. He just knew the guys he came in between were 6th and 8th. He had fun though. From what I understand, it sounds like there was a lot of waiting around. He left our house around 5:30 am and got home about 8:30 that night. Long day!

He absolutely LOVES dirt biking! It makes me happy that he has a hobby that he loves to do. He wasn't able to do it much this Summer because of the school so I am glad he has been able to go some since. We are trying to sell his bike and I know he will be sad when (if) we sell it. But you gotta do what you gotta do! Don't worry, he will get another one soon enough. :)

Aunt Nancy here---Brooke you sure do look cute in that last blog pic!
Brenda's Brigham would love to see Eric on his dirt bike racing. He has been doing the BMX "racing" this summer and was excited to do it even though it is SO darn hot. We will be leaving for AZ next Thursday...Ami and I.
