After seeing the seals we continued on to our original destination. The Hearst Castle! If you haven't heard of it you can read more about it here. It really is amazing! There are 3 different tours and the one we went on was the Upstairs Suites tour. We want to go on the other two eventually too. It was a bit hard taking the kids since the tours are not stroller friendly but they did great considering!
Where our tour started and that's our tour guide in the cute hat. :)
The ceilings were incredible! Many of them were imported from Europe.
This was a fun room. It was a 2 story suite with the bedroom above and then a bathroom with living room below so the guest could still entertain their own guests.
Then we headed outside. The grounds were beautiful!
Deegan by one of many water fountains.
This pool is to die for!!! I wanted to "accidentally" fall in.
He wanted his pic taken by this lion statue.
The front of the castle.
Just catching some rays!
Cute little Griffy.
And the indoor pool! So amazing!!
It was so cool to see this beautiful place and think of how old it was and how hard it must have been to build this so long ago. Again, if you get the chance, go!
